The Drop Our Orchestra remix of "Reality TV" by Billie Ray Martin's band, The Opiates is pure sex. It's silky smooth with plenty of jam-ability.
This tune will be part of the The Opiates remix album, out early next year. Go to iTunes, or Billie Ray Martin's website [LINK] to check out the original "Hollywood Under The Knife" album.
Treasure Fingers always induces disco smiles ...but his new remix of Foster The People's track "Call It What You Want" may actually help increase your serotonin levels. Feel fresh no matter what kind of stupid shit you did last night, just pop some RaveAid and play this track a few times.
Tijuana's Victor Verdugo (AKA Viks Lander) hit us up on our Facebook page today, and we're glad he did. His nu sounds balance the perfect amount of uplighting bass, classy synth love, and straight chillin' melodies. This may be the best elevator / waiting room music ever produced. Give this guy some RESPECT.
This 1984 disco classic is not to be missed. London's vocalist Linda Lewis has a five octave vocal range that rubs you the right way ...well only if you got class and style.
The "Sweet Stuff 12 EP" by Montreal's AXXE marks another hot release from On The Fruit Records. Out of the six official remixes that grace the single, the "DREAMTRAK Diamond Dub" has found itself worth of your Nu Retro ears. It's persistently dancy and effortlessly radical.
Jam out to this next-level electronic disco. Pat Lok's debut EP "No Shame" rocks plenty of classy synths and funky beats. His original tracks are backed by big name remixes from Goldroom, Bit Funk, OHYEAH, and Volta Bureau.
American duo Casual Encounters teamed up with Sweden's Honom for this fantastic EP featuring two funky originals and a slew of fresh remixes. We are especially fond of "Robo Funk (original mix)" and "Giovanni's Way (Phunktastike Remix)".
The EP will be released November 25th on the Spirit Soul Music label, and you can order it here: [LINK]
On Monday, Pink Stallone dropped his newest single "Mine". The most impressive track of the EP is this sexy remix by Brooklyn's Eddie Mars. As Mr. Stallone says, "...it embodies our youthful grunge funk swag in a diamond crusted Eddie Mars box (and no DJ can pass it up)". The added synths and addictive dance beat make this one a high quality late night burner.

Teleported from sometime in between 1969 and 1987, the Surf Ambassador Hendo is driven by the force of Poseidon to make you dance. His first "re-work" is a super frothy bootleg of "I Wonder" by the 8 time Grammy winner, Luther Vandeross. Enjoy the free download and look forward to future 80's-vibe bangers from this weirdo.
2Pac lives! The first track from Solomun's upcoming EP samples vocals from a 2Pac interview of the legend describing and singing his 1994 track "Fame". The Hamburg (Germany) based, Bosnian-born Croatian is a bona-fide deep house junky and his industrious sounds fit these vocals perfectly.
The self-titled three track "Solomun EP" will be released November 14th on Supernature Records.
Maybe it's not so surprising that Jean-Claude Van Damme's character from the 1989 flick KickBoxer has come back from hiding as a Nu Retro DJ. As described on Kurt Sloan's SoundCloud page:
After avenging his brother by defeating Thai kickboxing champion Tong Po, Kurt Sloan disappeared into the sunset. Rumors started to circulate that Kurt had actually been killed by Tong Po's mobsters.
It turns out that Kurt Sloan went back to the mountains to perfect his craft. He would study by day and come out only at night. His haunts were the discothèques, arcades, punk rock joints, beach side bars and gang ridden streets. It was there that he honed his craft: a potent mix of Italo Disco, Synthpop, Nu-Disco, Freestyle, Street Jams, Detroit Techno and other synth driven gems. Now, Kurt Sloan is donning mirror shades and bringing it all to the dance floor.
Boston's Kurt Sloan introduced himself today by releasing this dynamite mixtape featuring an impressively curated track list. It's definitely worthy of repeated listening, and perfect for a Saturday afternoon when you're getting ready to round up the crew to go cruisin for babes. Free Download: [LINK].

Paris's Starlesoufs is back at it again, releasing this lovely (and free) 5 track EP. Each track has a different disco groove kissed with that silky smooth French touch. The title track "Poolside" is our favorite, featuring a slower beat with a deep lounge feeling. "Satisfaction" is also a winner, delivering some huge party beats. Give the entire "Poolside" EP a listen and catch the free download from the Soundcloud player below.
Co-founder of the French crew Yeah!/Dish Records, Nico Les Tuyaux is giving away this slick 90's-esque remix of last years' single, "Baby I'm Yours" by Breakbot. This party-ready track deals with a very danceable bass line and futuristic pop vocals. Totally diggin' the tempo breakdown in the middle.
